Particular addons do conflict with the goals of Classic and Blizzard is cracking down on those ones. QOL addons were a part of the vanilla World of Warcraft experience (right up there with Barrens chat and dancing on the Orgrimmar mailbox), so using select add-ons isn't really outside of the spirit of the game. Although the goal is to play the original version of the game without any of the changes that came later, some players will still want to enable a few addons to help with quality of life. Players who manage to get into the game, and aren't stuck in massive queues like this famous streamer, are currently racing through starting areas and reliving the vanilla days of the MMO.
